i suppose this will be my december 'newsletter' post

it's been a week since inhuman wrapped up and honestly i feel like a z-fighter dropping my weighted clothing or something lmao

by that i mean, i had so much of my compositional and creative energy tied into this thing that was (to me) so important while getting very little unsolicited feedback. that's the nature of original projects, especially big ones i guess? but now that i've finished the hard part (the art part) i can stretch my mind.

this week that meant i could finally sit down with all the little bits and bobs i'd been gathering in a folder titled "collectors" and build something i've been thinking about for months that i think is much needed and will be well received by the pokemon fandom community.

it's a central hub collection and webring for pokemon fansites!! shrines, toy collections, art, comics, resources, etc etc. it started out as just collection websites but then as google got even worse i thought like, what is a comic but a collection of fanart you've made?

it's still a work in progress. i have 161 sites in my link list and only 100 banner images made. and i'm really hoping that by the time someone finishes reading this, they'll be thinking "well heck i know a pokemon fansite!" and i'll have even more.

i'm especially looking for things i KNOW exist but haven't got a good lead on like: mystery dungeon webcomics! and pokemon fanfics w their own site (so not like on ao3, but tumblr or dreamwidth journal is ok) so if you, reader, know something absolutely send in a link with the little form on that site. i'm legitimately excited to look at even more pokemon fansites to round out my 2023.

in personal life, family's still... a struggle. health is still :T too. my right lung remains abnormally small and sickly looking on xray, so i'll see a specialist in feb. soonest they can get me in since it's not an emergency really. for now i just have to learn to use an inhaler, which is probably gonna be my future anyway. i have uhhhh a colonoscapy too lmfao because that's what happens when yall get OLD. but it's also what happens when your maternal grandfather dies in his 30s of colorectal cancer sooooooo they wanna drag my already-had-one-cancer ass in there and be sure. i'm UNDERSTANDABLY anxious about the results myself since my luck is a joke and the universe is in stitches.

i'm also working on a project for khtall/CodeLizard illustrating chapter header art for her first novel! i'm getting to draw lots of anthro dragons in b&w which has been great, since when i started 2023 i was like 'this is the year i draw more dragons' - check and check! but when i'm finished with that it'll be fun to share the final pdf from her!!

my friends rainy, jay and i have been idling around furcadia like old times of late. it's been helpful especially when awful white stuff falls from the sky or the sun sets at 4pm.

but i'm back on my workout bullshit. i'm reading one piece. i'm up on my antidepressants and down on my sleep-or-lie-still-wanting-nonexistance. i'm past the worst holiday and into decent enough therapy. it's the fourth night of hannukah, and i've got 3 knives being gifted my way and incredible mugs.

sawright out here. the body fails and fails but. the spirit builds and builds. sawright.

blah blah, times tough, toss me a dollar because even thats enough
