another week gone by. good news in the real world front, we were approved for energy assistance. so that should help with the lack of consistant heat/hot water. kind of a bummer to know that's where we're at, but it's a weight off my mind to not wake up thinking 'is this the day the water will run cold on me?'
tornados are kinda tearing through the area around where my father lives, which has me out of sorts today. he made it safely through the night, but cell towers were damaged and so we can't call one another. hopefully any other tornados today will miss him too.
in more cheerful news, my spiderman propaganda anthology arrived at last. it's a little shy of what i expected - it doesn't have the PSA i was promised about fighting plaque. so the question of 'how can spidey teach you to brush your teeth with his mask in the way' may forever go unanswered. it's really only about 4 or 5 story arcs, mostly revolving around cigarettes or Undisclosed Drugs. the only one i haven't read is the punisher one, but i did skim it and it looks like they go to russia to beat up small time mobsters? okay spidey sure
this arc of the comic is almost done, which means i need to start thinking about the splash art for the next arc. i'll be glad to get back tothe drunkard and the thief grey and kyo. they're much easier to write for.
