another week with no new page, but i've put up some older art of "what if these characters swapped species?" to continue to tide folks over
i've ALSO FINALLY FINISHED the print edit work for arc4, which i considered to be cursed bc of how many times it's stopped me in the past. i've actually replaced the old arc 4 pages with the newly Rescanned Rescripted and Reordered arc 4 pages in the archives- but if you're dying to save the old script and old scans, here's a zipfile.
if you're reading on the website and seeing the old pages (with the ms paint style verdana font) you'll probably need to ctrl f5.
if you'd like to read the new arc4 script/scan in hd, the pdf is available already on itchio!
i might? do this for arc 5 as well, but that's down the road a bit.
in other news so many ppl are in japan right now and i love it for them?! i miss that country so much, every day. iris and nero are checking out gundam museums ("factory") and japanese furcons. my mom and stepfather are i guess probably checking out the most touristy 'authentic' experiences they can find. love it, miss it, wish i was there. my spirit is hovering every time someone passes a gacha machine or a conbini that sells pizza-man. Someday again, i'll be there. :,>
IN COMPLETELY UNRELATED news, i'm part of this year's Queer Games Bundle on itchio!! it's a pride event the itch community does where anyone under the rainbow can submit their work, and we all split the profit equally. two things of mine are included - a short cute lesbian comic from 2015 and the Queer Birds art from 2022. i'm excited for when that finally releases in full to share a link to it. but yeah!! ENTRY CONFIRMED! i'm hype!!
work on the omnibus slogs on- arc10 is the next to be fully rescanned in hd. but i've passed the halfway marker, which is a relief. even if two of the largest arcs remain to be rescanned, i think i'll be able to make this happen.
epilogue artwork is starting, though it's going a little slow since we finally had a break in the rain that'd been pouring on new england for like a month straight feels like. lot of small outdoor jobs that call my attention. rocks for a garden wall, pulling (even more) trash out of the creek, gathering dandylions to farm, weeding grass out of the flowers... and getting back to my regular walks, of course.
okay so heres some lingering details about arc4 for those curious
-the redraw files are still around, still incomplete. they'll be part of a stretch goal for the omnibus.
-this rescan of arc4 will NOT be available as an individual issue in paper form, thats for the redraw.
-i know a lot of the pink floyd references will be missed. they were a little heavy. i'm keeping the one that opens arc5 tho dont worry.
-a lot of the script was overhauled for various reasons, but chief among them is that i had to fit into the speech balloons i'd drawn with the font i'd made. this has always be a limitation, but some folks may find the changes jarring. i did my best to compromise the main points with the space i had.
-some pages are reordered! 4 was very all over the place, confused people from the very start.
i hope you'll enjoy it, though, and i hope it flows better with the story in general.
next week i hope to have some shop updates, but til then. see you when i see you.
