yeah maybe it's premature cuz ive only seen two episodes of season 1 but i do not like black mirror lmfao
it's one of those things where the creators have such a dark, dismal view of humanity and THEMSELVES (this is key) that they seem to believe the entirity of humanity is the sum of their personal worst traits. like they believe everyone would give up their convictions for a slightly more cushy gilded cage. bull and shit, i would rather die :P
anyway i think a lot of it is just projection!! like, THEY would take the guilded cage. THEY would compromise their values. so they have decided that's human nature. extremely selfish and narcissistic way of thinking!! doesn't explain altruistic behavior!! doesn't explain people who DONT turn into the monster they're fighting! but i guess it reaffirms a very popular sense of misanthropy which is probably why so many loathesome techbros love this show. it reinforces their delusion that there's no one in the world better than them. barrrrfffff this shit is down right BORING. i'm sorry england your horror is boring. you've only had one film in my lifetime that wasn't and i already forget what it was.
