it's been a very long november were i'm scrambling to secure my rights as a human being. passport application is in, i'm moving to try to get medical transition therapy asap, and we're trying (with a lot of wonderful ppls support) to switch out our old oil heater for water out for an electric water heater. it's. been kind of rough and very expensive. but what can you do. shockingly, being poor is expensive.

I've noticed that the comic passes outside of the background folder image. At first I thought there was something going on with the code, but it seems the background is a presized image rather than one that's going to adjust height to fit the element. Is this intentional?

Oh, there's no more comic archive comments either! The ones that appeared under the pages... I kinda liked those.

the page hanging off the folder is intentional, yep! it's meant to sorta feel like you took the page out of the folder and laid it on top to look at it.

Too bad, with oil you can use biodiesel or the BioHeat blend for which you should have a dealer nearby. Electric hot water is lower maintenance but higher cost with much coal burnt. Will there be a provision for adding solar hot water?

well we're not removing or decommissioning the oil based steam heat system. we're keeping it, just as an emergency backup. we're just disconnecting the domestic hot water system from it and running another system.

our town is already largely solar based, and has actually sent out letters requesting people use energy on off-peak hours to make better use of it. so i'm really not at all concerned about the carbon footprint in this situation.
