not_funfrustrating day!!! nothing huge but >:O
had to do some homework to make sure a mail scam (that was ripped, so missing key info) was in fact just a scam. it was, but the whooooole time ren was yowling in my ear because luna stole her studio cat bed. there are other places here for her to settle and fall asleep but she was very upset that her fav spot was taken.
so i decided to cool off, run some errands and grab the business cards i ordered... only for red, my scooter? to not want to start again D: i dont really know much of anything about engines but she was really struggling to i guess turn over? like she would go we WEE, we WEE, we WHEEee,,,, since we already replaced her spark and adjusted her throttle and fed her gas and changed the air filter, my next guess was her battery was prolly dead cuz alph mentioned that at some point to me. i know at LEAST enough to know batteries generally are only used to start the motor and then you charge them back up while you're driving (unless another part is broken, which i'm blanking on the name of. but when we had the chevy cobalt i feel like we replaced that part on it at least once.) soooo ordered her a battery. should be here in a few days. but since i had planned specifically to go do errands on the scooter today, i was pretty pissed off. and took an angry walk about it.
two hours of walking up and down the hill, my walk circuit took me to the rail trail by the old factory pond that's undergoing EPA cleanup. they must be almost done, because the yellow tape is gone! like, not as if yellow tape really stops anyone from walking there. but i wanted to be respectful to the workers yknow and not like tromp all over their area when they've clearly designated it as not open to randos. but now it appears open to randos. it's wild, the dam being gone and the ponds being drained means now these areas are above water for the first time in like two hundred years?? and you can see just how much junk the factory land owners tossed into the water, i guess. bits of metal, a tire, etc. we're in the middle of a drought so it's really not a good visual of how this area may look in the future, but there's a small stream of water going through and lots of grasses already growing.
then i took the nearby rail trail (railway in this section was originally part of the factory work, no trains run on it) and tho i didnt get to see any beavers with plant growth i saw lots and lots of frogs. two big ones, one REAL big olive colored one just poking out of a log. most were little itty bitty toads that ive grown up calling spring peepers.
packed some shop orders, added the linocut print to the shop, posted art. i still gotta do my game art work for the day, but i ALSO still gotta do errands that were meant to be done on the scooter .-.
i finally did unlock the first dungeon in the ffxiv update, and it was fuuuuuuun. tho i died on the second boss, and recalled, FORGETTING they've updated phoenix downs to like... have uses outside the field finally. FINALLY. AFTER TEN YEARS. so you can forgive me for totally forgetting that was even an option. the healer was dead so i was like ehhh its all over innit
but then my friend kyn rezed the healer while i stood outside and i was like ooooooohhhhhhhh oops
aright alph is urging me to come out and try to start the scooter w the kickstart instead of the automatic start. i guess i gotta but >:T it was HARD the first time. im not a tall big person i still only weigh 150 even after HRT tacked on mass.
ah well, thats motor vehicles i think. always a big ol money sink.
