Inhuman update

you ever have one of those drawings that looks so different and so much better in your head? that'd be the second panel, rip.

so i took last week off because things have been kinda stressful round here, but we had a nice low key anniversary with the cats and whatnot. apart from the washer finally rusting through, but it's older than we are and well time makes fools of us all

thank you again btw to everyone who helped with kei/antek's fundraiser to pay for his dad's funeral. kei's still dealing with a lot mentally... i mean how can you not in that situation. but there's not a compounding financial crisis, and you all helped make that possible. and that's going to make it a lot easier for him to sort through things...even if things take a long time.

ren is huffing and puffing at me, btw, because she wants all her humans in one room and i am NOT obeying. this cat is a baby. a 15yo baby. 15? maybe older idk anymore. math is hard.

still trying to sort things out with insurance... still finding the new normal of forever tired & limited. deep seated denial that i could possibly Be limited is not helping. oh well what can you do.

//edit!
i remembered something i wanted to share, and that's that the Doemain of Our Own omnibus showed up and it's really just a beautiful book. i was reading doemain as a webcomic just as i started college, and felt like it was both well drawn (sue has always been a REALLY talented artist) funny in a corny slapstick way, and also extremely real. sue was an adult ahead of me in adulthood who weathered frightening and sometimes confusing and scary things... and she shared some of it on the page.

so if you're looking for a new comic to read that starts in the late 90s tech boom and then follows the wierd twists of life from there, one that shows the importance of cats, good friends and the ability to make light of strange things in life? i strongly reccomend sue deer's comic. the archives are online for free, or you can order the book. i think the book is really worth it. it comes together in such a beautiful story that way, it really does give us just a little slice of sue's weird and wild life.

kay that's me finishing up my nostalgic book review for yall

fall smells delicious already. or maybe that's this apple seltzer i'm drinking.

stay well yall
