your crimbo himbo
Dec. 25th, 2020 11:31 amhello all, last update of 2020
update is here, and don't worry -too- much about what akia's saying. that bird likes to chirp, yall.
right now it's a few days before the update and i'm just trying to get things organized. luna's sitting in my lap, which she's been doing a lot since alph's been stuck working extremely extra hours at the post office. please be kind to your postal carriers, folks. because yesterday he was told to stay out til 10pm if needed to get all that shit delivered.
ways to be kind to your postal worker:
-a card w a tip (money or gift cards)
-a snack (go savory over sweet, EVERYONE gives sweets)
-for the love of god stop ordering from amazon
i'm also quite tired of hearing the line of 'at least he has a job' because like. yeah. its true. so many people have lost their jobs during the pandemic it's horrifying. but also that does you no good if you literally have no time to go out and buy your groceries. if you have no life outside of work. money is meaningless if there's no opportunity to exchange it for basic necessities. also someone who's a wage slave isn't fortunate, they're trapped in a modern version of serfdom. being made to constantly expose yourself to a virus (because clowns refuse to wear masks still) because you cannot afford to avoid it? that's not fortunate.
i'm probably ranting at people who agree here, honestly. it's mostly baby boomers who give me that line about how we should be thankful for millenials being worked to death. surprise surprise.
i'll be glad to close out this year. while the vaccine won't be an option for me until probably march, it's one year down on the road to Officially (tm) being in remission. for the next four years i'm still on medication (tamoxifen) and being checked very 3-6 months for signs of cancer returning. but that's a year less than five. i made it this far already.
hopefully i'll be able to keep up the regularity of comic updates going into 2021 now that i'm yknow. not -as- fatigued and not as sickly. hopefully. we shall see.
stay safe yall. stay well. try to make this world better in whatever small ways you can, because it matters.
