Apr. 1st, 2021 09:30 aminhuman...update?
AND THATS THE END OF THE FIGHT lmao just kidding, april fools!!!
i got some sleep, finally, and just in time too as the weather is clearing up again and thus i have some outdoor work to do again. our front porch leading to our door is having some structural issues, hopefully ones i can fix on my own... so that's on the docket for april.
i'm still not eligible for a vaccine, though in a few days that should change. massachusetts decided that people with "just" cancer arent really important to vaccinate. it's a pretty transparent eugenics-y move, that unless you're OLD and sick you basically had to wait at the back of the line for everyone else to get vaccinated. and had to watch retirees who refused to obey lockdown/mask protocol go first ahead of everyone... it's frustrating. every state is doing the vax rollout differently but i'm quite literally one of the last in my family to get it and i'm getting burnt out on hearing from boomers that that's just not right. ya. no kidding. guess who made these rules. bc it wasnt the genx/millenial crew.
speaking of health. i have a followup with someone on my healthcare team this month. i could check exactly who right now but its not really imperative in the moment. its either my oncologist or my regular doc. or maybe the radiologist. either way apart from muscles seizing sometimes in the area of my chest that was irradiated, i've got little to report to them.
in good news tho: i finally am getting wheels. not a car, oh no, i'm afraid of driving those. but a moped. an electric moped. it's a town & country II by the american company liberty (awful names all around, amirite?) and though i wanted it in electric green i settled for silver. listen. it's more about getting to these followup appointments without paying 50$ in rideshare fees than anything. ya feel me?
aaaaaaanyway. i'll see yall next week with a real page.

Date: 2021-04-06 04:01 pm (UTC)Rough about the vaccine. You'd think MA would be a little more healthcare-y since they were sorta a model for the universal healthcare system they've been trying to make federal. My state opened all 16+ for vaccines on the first and all adults about a week before so I'm just waiting for my second shot. Got a friend in England in your same boat, though. UK has over 50% vaccination rate but that 50% is apparently the elderly population.
