i'm still transitioning into my new med (lexapro) and on day 8 of it... so really its pretty similar to being on nothing. still very anxious, still dealing with depression spikes where the worst of it comes after the sun goes down. already had one person detonate our friendship screaming at me that my doctor ordered and monitored tapering had "gone on too long" and burn the bridge between us because he refused to take "back off til im better" as advice. so, things have changed exactly 0% in how people treat mental health crashes in the last 10 years. good to know.
in spite of ~this~ i did finish and release another comic project i've been working on! THE WARNING is a fancomic to the nine inch nails song by the same name from their Year Zero album. although it's ostensibly an anthro comic, the bulk of the art is much more focused on weird many-eyed biblical style angels judging those who sustain wars in the delusion that it will in some way bring them glory. GEE I WONDER WHY THAT FELT TOPICAL.
and in less creative news...
i'm going to have to look into a gofundme to continue seeing my doctors without going further into debt. in the classic american fashion, once alph was offered insurance via his employer we lost access to the state insurance option. the employer insurance has an obscenely high deductable (4k) which is apparently normal for the working class now because Fuck You, Peasants. this means a specialist visit is 300$, -with- insurance. literally every one of my cancer care team are specialists. i still see them about once a month. if you feel like doing the math, you can see that means i am never going to have fully cover more than a handful of visits, towards the end of the year.
when you look up how to deal with this kind of situation, pretty much everything says "haha well if you're reasonably healthy just don't go to the doctor! and don't go getting cancer or something!" ... thx
until i get the GFM going, tho... here's places you can give a monthly donation amount of your choosing to me, and that -will- help. because for now, i'm stuck with hospital payment plans and slow accumulating medical debt.
- patreon is an option
- ko-fi also allows monthly recurring payments
- paypal i believe lets you make them as well
- subscribestar is also an option... but not my fav one*.
so here we are, another week of war and blood spilled over fucking borders. another week to go before i can request an increase in dosage on the new medication. another week of some ablist dipshit telling me their abusive nonsense is the key to fixing my depression.
but for now... im off to the endocrinologist.
see you next week...
* so about subscribestar. while most tipjar platforms function best with donations of 3$ a month (or thereabouts) from each person, allowing you to take whatever you earn from whoever is supporting you and put it in your bank, subscribestar... doesn't. you have to have a minimum profit of 150$ in your account in order to withdraw, and you also must have 5 supporters. the 5 supporters part should be easy... i made a free tier for that! but the 150$ minimum? owch. i kinda feel like i need to be posting sexy feet videos for that kinda income or something. but some people may prefer it so i set'd it up
