finally, page 761, which i actually really like. i wanted to circle back and allude to what happened on the riverbank after the fight and at last, it's posted and i can.
also uh kofi backers can read the next 3 pages after this already. you can toss me a few bucks and do that as well if you're so inclined. otherwise itll just be a weekly update thru feb.
this week....... was not great for me. yesterday was my birthday which was almost good. except the day before i had to put my hedgehog down. because she had cancer. breast cancer. on the same side as i had it. i really loved that angry spike pig deep in my soul and i keep doing the thing where i forget someones gone, getting ready to bring her food or water or check on her or listen for her. but the worst is the kitten, audrey, who loved peanut and thought they were best friends (peanut mostly ignored her) and would lie down with her, take meals with her, and generally tell her worldly concerns to her. she spent the first night without peanut searching desperately for her in the laundry where her blankets were placed. last night she kept ending her zoomies in the room peanut used to occupy and crying out in confusion for her.
i tried to look on the upside in spite of this. but ... then the ipad i use for art...decided to eat it.
it'll take too long to explain what i tried to fix it, so let's just say "everything" and leave it at that. the touch screen decided it was no longer responding to any touch, and more than that, siri was also not responding so i couldnt navigate around by voice. a repair shop quoted me a higher price to fix it than backmarket.com quotes to replace it... so i did that. but i'm going to lose all the work and art files on the ipad.
i almost had a brainwave of navigating it via a bluetooth keyboard that's paired to it (so i could RP with friends in bed from when i was in chemo) but ... this seemed to just freeze it entirely when i attempted to interface. so i'm not sure what's breaking in it. something important. something related to how it processes user input.
i'm also fighting off... something. dunno what. it might be nothing. it's really hard to know because of which lymph nodes are swollen (and which ones are missing entirely). and spent the early part of the week trying to deal with the most entitled manchild ebayer ive ever encountered in like 20 years of using the platform. also there were like, 3 days of snowstorms and snow does psychic damage to me.
so... not... doin great here. but. there will be more comics, and every day we finish of winter brings us one step closer to spring.
just wish it didn't feel like such a gauntlet of abuse.
see you next week...
