bare with me on this entry cuz i'm still going thru lexapro's brutal gauntlet of ssri withdrawal. dizziness leading to nausea leading to oooggg
while looking for a specific file on my pc i got my shit sorted and gathered all the misc comics that don't really fit into any other contexts and added them to a zip. i'm sure i'll keep finding more and adding more, as my filekeeping system is...shall we say... erratic lmao.
i WAS going to post in here about how i had a gofundme up for my medical debt from cancer treatments, but people have been so generous and so giving that its ALREADY FULLY FUNDED? so i dont need to link to it??? that's still rocking my little world. since i'm good, please consider directing efforts towards helping these folk:
VaguePlagues and his family are STILL homeless, in the north-east USA, in winter, so anything you can give to his kofi is greatly appreciated.
This person from the fediverse just had the worst experience you can get, which is one i know first hand, where they found out after months of doctors dismissing their health concerns that yes...they have the big C. so any money you can offer them towards treatment is very needed.
Luci & his pet rats could use help too because their bad roomie is bailing on them, leaving them to pick up the gap in rent. also one of his rats unexpectedly got impregnated somehow so he's trying to make preperations for her litter's arrival.
not a whole lot else i can add here i think... i did some minor tweaks on the site as usual, nothing anyone's really likely to notice i must say. did my best to fix demon-sushi.com so that the randomized link crawl displays properly on mobile (i had... a Lot of help with this lmfao) and added some more comic links, specifically to a ffxiv fancomic i was really enjoying called Our Unending Journey and a slice of life completed furry comic that was really influental to me in my early to mid 20s called Doemain of our Own.
a true crime podcast i love, What Did You Do, is back for its second season and i'm excited for that. the hosts are social workers (charneil even has his masters in sociology i think?!) and it's both very welcome and very refreshing to hear african american folks discussing these topics. not to mention like, the fact they are more informed on psychology & sociology due to their work experience than a lot of other true crime podcasts. so they come at these topics with a lot less of a shock value or ablist approach than others. seriously 10/10, check them out. if you can stomach true crime stuff that is. it's not for everyone, for sure.
okay one last promo - an artist i've been following for a while, wolfy, WROTE A BOOK!! it's called The Dogtrot Murders and it's about a mechanic, who also happens to be a vampire. Also town murders. i'm really excited to check it out and its available in paperback and e-book. order a copy!! support wolfy's original fiction writing endeavors!!
i think that's all i have to share right now... now to update the gfm readers, and run some laundry, and HOPEFULLY squeeze in the time to draw something for chaz (it's their birthday very soon! happy birthday chaz if you're reading this!!) ... if i don't drop from exhaustion and need a 2 hour sleep first.
