inhuman update!
(and by some miricle, da works again, so there's inks!)

first off i'd like to dispell a rumor - some people were convinced i'd disappeared the last few weeks because of pokemon. not true. i was doing two side comics that are personal projects: static and my dear brother. neither are related to Inhuman, though static does take place in the same universe.

i did get/finish pokemon in about five days though. i dunno, this latest gen was just meh for me. it's got gen2 syndrome. gen2 was (and i know this is not the majority of opinion, but it is mine) one of the weaker gens of pokemon, and i feel gen6 is as well. honestly the most interesting part of the game was the looker minigame after the e4. but really it didn't feel like much of a challenge, and i wasn't really floored by any new pokemon outside of furfrou. here's hoping the next gen is better.

alf's panic attacks have died down somewhat, though now they seem mostly tied to any kind of perceived difficulty getting air or breathing. like a stuffy room, or (and this was a fun surprise) some stupid radio commercial where someone hyperventilates over a chicken sandwich. but there's progress being made.

finally got rid of the rental and got the new-used car, which is an 07 chevy cobalt. it gets better milage and is a little less prone to rustapalooza than a subaru. it's a pretty nice ride so far!

also started work on cleaning up our fireplace, because previously there was this gross ornate looking foamcore front on it and a huge draft behind the foamcore. we tore the foam off today and patched up 99% of the draft. also got some new trim to hopefully pretty it up some. that'll go up later in the week.

other than that, we're just prepping for the trick or treaters. our house got mobbed last year, and we don't expect this year to be any different. plus oh god visitors why is this week so crazy suddenly

busy week ahead! and oh, now that ian jay's site is all fully moved, i re-urge you to check out the Chessmaster Guide to Finding Your Spirit Animal which is, i assure you, 200% more rad than its title would lead you to believe. cause y'know. you never know what the chessmaster may produce next, after all...

additionally, if you feel extra brave, why not give bogleech's amazing halloween web-based adventure game Don't Get Spooked a whirl?

til next week
