two more doses of radiation to go for me. then followups w doctors, medication changes, and hopefully (hopefully) that's the end of my cancer treatment except for yearly visits. radiation is finally leaving me exhausted and with burnt skin (both extremely common side effects) but im lucky to have held out so long before they hit.
currently struggling with people accusing me of shirking my work ethic while still in treatment. today i spent four hours on a bus, because that is how i get to and from treatment without spending 40$ a day. then i come home and am exhausted, because of the radiation. i am not blowing off work. i am still in cancer treatment. but it has taught me that people really do show their true colors when you're in a lengthy health crisis.
another treatment tomorrow. last one on tuesday. it'll take about a month (2-3 weeks) to recover from the fatigue. i'm working on it. sincerely, sincerely thank you to everyone who's been understanding and patient this entire time. you know who you are. your compassion is really refreshing.
okay. time to post the page other places and then probably fall asleep in spite of all the coffee. later.
