not_funInhuman update, but its just the back cover for arc 16
i'm still plugging away at the scan jobs for an omnibus - though the more i work on old arcs (4...) the more i just want to redraw them and edit them down. in my mind this is a kickstarter stretch goal in funding the omni, but for now im just looking at all these truly convoluted bad lookin old pages like arg blarg must i work with you arg
after i'm done cleaning up 4 for print though i'll be able to bounce back to a more recent arc (10) which will be nicer. i believe half the comic is hi res scanned at this point? not too terrible. i'm still working on getting proofs for 15, i dunno why that's been the cursed print run arc.
looking into august i'll have a few of the later arcs (think 11 onward) with me when i table at some small cons.
need to pick up some paper for the epilogue, hope to do that today.
i had to shut down the redbubble sticker shop due to redbubble changing their fees to be extremely predatory and damaging to artists. but i have plenty of stickers for sale in my own shop, so i can't really say it's a gigantic loss to me personally. pretty unfair though.
this week i learned that my cancer med makes me inelligable to donate blood or plasma, which is a huge downer because i think i'm finally beyond my needle phobia enough to do it. or i guess i just learned to dissociate from my arm enough? all the medical shit the last few years, it finally broke through. and i have o- blood which is universal donor blood so. all this useless juice just sloshing around inside me until 2029 i guess.
ive been playing around on tiktok but making videos really isnt my strong suit. and reading a lot of supernatural horror novels. right now i'm on Burnt Offerings which is about as subtle as a knee to the face but kind of hits that sweet spot in horror of "i hate these people, i can't wait to see the house eat them." if you cant write a likeable protag, you should i guess at least let your audience revel in their misery?!
i think it's finally really spring. been gardening a bunch which always helps. forget touching grass, i'm a very Touch Dirt kind of guy.
next week i don't know if i'll have something to share...maybe just doodles? or maybe just a placeholder image announcing the date for the epilogue. or maybe nothing. i'm in a strange, transitionary period.
