GOOD NEWS im alive
Aug. 15th, 2019 02:13 pmInhuman updated!
good news to come with this update folks - i am DONE chemotherapy. hopefully forever!! i'm currently in a kind of a lull (still lots of dr appointments i have to go to) before i begin radiation. i've learned that some people don't know the difference between these two things! chemo is drug treatment of the cancer (chemical poisoning of it) and radiation is....radiation. you get a short daily exposure to a dose of radiation to the area the cancer was in, and this kills any microscopic cancer cells that might remain. SO NOW YOU KNOW if you didn't before!
i'm already doing much better, able to walk up and down the by my house and my hair is desperately trying to grow back in. it's still very short, kinda resembles a buzz cut growing back in? not exactly a look i'm rocking, imo.
hopefully now i'll be back to updating with some regularity... though time spent getting to and from radiation may make that more difficult than i anticipate, who knows.
if you want to lend me a hand, and i Really Could use some help cos having cancer is Expensive Apparently, check out the stuff below.

Date: 2019-09-03 07:33 pm (UTC)I've been enjoying your comics, websites and humour since I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG years ago. Since Hedgehogs and Loons and Buddies On Away and just. a heck of a long time ago. I've been following Inhuman since it was Warriors 10. And I've been sitting at home this year dealing with my second go round with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
It crossed my mind today that I haven't checked Inhuman in far too many months, and through a few hops across tumblr and such I ended up finding my way over here. And damn. There's just too much I'm relating to in your words to not just sit down here beside you and say 1) thank you for sharing your creativity across all these years, and 2) holy shit does it fucking suck or what.
Congratulations on finishing chemo! I've only ever had ten days of radiation but I found that way WAY easier than chemo ever was. I know a lot of that depends on how long term it is though. Fingers crossed that it ends up being pretty gentle for you. Here's looking forward to spitting on 2019's grave in a few months time, hahaha. Take it easy out there o/
