Inhuman update!
this page was both very very busy to put together (4+ chars per panel all moving yikes!) and kind of a very necessary breather for my brain between drawing all the gun action. tho patrons will notice that the script has been changed a bit from the version they saw previewed... that's def something i was turning over and over in my head for a few days.
currently in a heatwave, got to see oncology for a follow up tomorrow. it's probably going to go like this: lift your arms up over your head for me. wow, you still have great range of motion! now let me poke around in your armpit real firmly with my fingers. just scar tissue here! see you in six months! thatll be 300$
i mean granted its better than the alternative of no care/oversight in my followup treatment for the big c, but some days (weeks?) it just feels like spinning my wheels to pay for someone else's golf membership yknow?
speaking of... i'm feeling generally down, but that's because homophobia and transphobia in the USA have spiked right back to levels i remember from my tween years before gay marriage was legal. it's pretty bad!! this whole propaganda abt monkeypox being our fault is flooring me!! it's a virus spread by aerosol droplets and surface contact, not from gay sex, but seems like the entire western world is on board with blaming it on queers. cool cool cool. anyway if you actually want to be educated about the monkeypox virus, This Podcast Will Kill You did an excellent episode on it. typically they have a text transcription of every episode they do as well, but i think the monkeypox one is still being written up.
if you really want to deep dive tho, they also allude to an earlier episode they did on smallpox that could help contextualize some things about monkeypox for the listener. idk, i love this podcast. its been a fav for a long time now.
well... i guess it's back to my animal crossing island to cope with the anxiety lexapro fails to control. catch yall next week. be strong.
